Controlled Release Technology is a technique for encapsulating active ingredients and, upon meeting certain environmental stimuli, releasing them into the environment. Additionally, this is done at pre-designed intervals and time periods and without the use of machinery or equipment. The entire process relies entirely on principles of materials science.

While this technology is widespread in the pharmaceutical arena, Hydroemission has adapted it to meet unique requirements in the environmental space. The technology is currently deployed in applications such as in mosquito control, condensate and cooling water treatment, grease remediation, air purification, and ambient scenting. The adaptation provides benefits such as environmental pollution prevention, improved treatment efficacy, and lower treatment costs compared to traditional methods.

  • Encapsulating matrix is 100% biodegradable
  • Matrix can be made porous, for applications requiring buoyancy
  • Matrix can be produced in any shape and size with a regular cross section
