Blockchain-Enabled Software-as-a-Service Technology for Authenticity & Provenance in Aerospace and Other Industries

Abstract/Technology Overview

We developed a Software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform to facilitate aerospace certification, secured engineering and qualification data management as well as a parts authenticity fingerprinting system. It allows full data and physical components traceability around the whole product lifecycle based on our proprietary blockchain protocol called DCore.

Currently, the large supply chain in the aerospace industry and its global spread lacks transparency. The authenticity and security of data cannot be proven, the project status is hard to track, and audit takes a long time due to unsecured databases or paper records. Moreover, the authenticity of aircraft components cannot be proven leading to lower product safety.

Our solution is suitable for aircraft manufacturers as well as their suppliers. However, the usage of this SaaS solution is not limited only to the aerospace industry. It can be applicable to similarly regulated industries and it is also beneficial in authenticity and provenance proving in food or other goods, for a boost in supply chain transparency.

Technology Features, Specifications and Advantages

Leveraging features of blockchain technology such as immutability of data across the supply chain, increased data security, document authenticity and almost real-time transactions can bring about significant improvements.
